Description
The writing in this anthology reflects themes of migration, memory and landscapes, which I have woven into my projects and collaborations over the year as George Mackay Brown Writing Fellow. Art forms used in the Johnsmas Foy, from poetry to music and song, to Orkney Traditional Dance and visual art, addressed questions of place, identity and belonging. Workshops and tours led by World Heritage Site rangers touched on issues of the past, and memory that transcends the written word. Bird watching tours with the RSPB highlighted the fluidity of identities through migration… Nalini Paul
