Orkney 2600BCE. The peaceful lives of the Skara Brae villagers are shattered by the untimely death of the fisherman Joel, leaving Marna’s friend Henjar a widow. She is keen to find a new husband, but when Roben, the one-eyed fire-maker courts her not everyone is happy. After an argument with Henjar’s brother Sempal, Roben mysteriously disappears.
This is only the beginning of the strange and frightening happenings and Marna must find out who is to blame before her close-knit community is torn apart.
