Formed in the aftermath of World War One, the Kirkwall City Pipe Band celebrated its Centenary in 2019. This commemorative book follows the Band’s development from its early days through to making international trips to Denmark, Japan, and New York, winning a British Championship, and achieving a Scots Trad Music Award for ‘Pipe Band of the Year’.
This book chronicles all that and much more, together with many rarely seen photos, most notably of the Band on its first ever parade.
